Great list! “All the Colors of the Dark” stays with me too. I’ve passed that book on to several friends. Love your reviews!

I loved All the Colors of the Dark and Ellie Black. I couldn’t even make it through The Golden Spoon despite being a fan of the great British baking show - it was not well written in my opinion. My favorite book I read in April was A Well Trained Wife followed closely by Broken Country.

A Well Trained Wife sounds really interesting. I’m glad to hear your thoughts on The Golden Spoon. The starred reviews made me wonder if I missed something.

I’m getting ready to read Broken Country as soon as I finish Favorite Daughter (it’s so good and reads so fast)!

I am opposite with you on two. I really liked The Golden Spoon and really disliked Perfection, so I enjoyed reading your insights on each of those. If you want to give Jessa Maxwell another chance she has a new release coming in July called Dead of Summer. I haven't read it yet but it's on my list. Happy reading!
