When I am unsure what to read, I look at the NYRB collection. I have loved everything from them. On my immediate TBR is The Door by Magda Szabo. I absolutely loved Katalin Street earlier this year and I know that The Door is even better.

I love the idea of turning to a publisher when you need a good book. I’ll have to check out the titles you mentioned!
