Love reading about these books and learning more about you!πŸ’•

I’d like to read Homecoming.

My therapist and I have been talking about generational trauma and how it’s shaped my life. It’s fascinating and sad.

Thank you for sharing Andrea.πŸ˜πŸ“šπŸ₯°

It’s interesting/complicated to differentiate between favorite books and books that have shaped my life! Linda Holeman is one of my favorite authors and I’ve learned so much about everything (myself, family dynamics, history, other cultures, etc) by reading her books. Colum McCann’s β€œLet the Great World Spin” and β€œThis Side of Brightness” were memorable. β€œA Woman is No Man” by Etaf Rum is probably the most impactful book I’ve ever read.

I’m unfamiliar with Linda Holeman, so I’ll have to look into her work. I haven’t read McCann or Rum, either, so it looks like I have some homework to do. πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for sharing!

I love this post. I really like the stories you shared with each post. I also love the idea of eight year old Andrea knowing she wanted to go see art. I am totally going to steal your idea on post sharing- I think I’ll use Cato though. πŸ˜‚
