I enjoyed the late hours in my room, when I can have space to dream and read. I also enjoyed eating a hokkaido soup with coconut milk in the afternoon by lit candles. And just letting myself be freer from obligations.
This season feels hardest for me to savor- the time leading up to Christmas. There’s so much to do, but I’m reflecting and writing about how getting through it is not how I want to live my life. Tara Brach’s happiness formula includes, gratitude, service and savoring. The last one is hard but according to her, it can be as simple as pausing for 15 seconds on beauty. I think I can try that. Thanks for this lovely reminder.
As the sun shines through my window this lovely morning, I enjoyed this simple reminder to enjoy the now, the present. Thank you.
I’m happy you connected with the post!
The first time I’ve slowed down in the last few days is to read this!
Wonderful reminders…thank you.❤️
Slowing down is my favorite. 🙂
Savoring coffee and sunshine
I enjoyed both of those things today, too!
I too am a doer. I hope to carve out some time to just be. Thanks for the reminder.
Here’s to being and relaxing! 🥳

I like that formula! Thanks for sharing it.
This is one of my very favorite poems and I loved reading your reflections on it - such a beautiful distinction between gratitude and savoring!
