♥️ I love this! I’m going to refer back to it as there are lots of books I haven’t read yet here along with some of my favs. Thank you for advocating for empathy. It’s sad that we are in a place where to do so is an act of resistance.
This is a great list. I’ve read some and some are on my TBR list. I would suggest for the Immigrant category Solito. It is about a young boy coming to the US from El Salvador.
That Elon Musk quote says it all. No wonder he has 20 kids and is a real father to none. I have several of these books on my “to read” pile! Looking forward to summer reading time!
what a wonderful curated list of books! one of the things i love the most is meeting new people and their stories, and books have allowed me to do this in such a deep way. thank you for sharing, i now have an amazing tbr list!
What a wonderful list! The world would be such a better place if even a few of these were required reading for adults...
For your "Class and Poverty" section, we wanted to suggest A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry, particularly if you're looking for a setting outside America.
This is a really helpful list which I have saved. I sometimes fall short in the empathy department but I know this is the right path to take.
That’s a great place to start, John! Thanks for reading.
Andrea this list is stellar! I see so many I’ve read and loved. Books really do connect us if we just let them in.
Yes! I love the idea of letting books in.

I’ve heard such great things about Solito. I’ll add it to my TBR.

Me too! It’s the best!
Thank you, Andrea📘🩵
I am smitten with Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton. Empathy for all, including the little but mighty beings we have yet to understand.🌱🌿🐾💚
Raising Hare isn’t something I’d normally pick up, but it’s been calling to me. This is my sign to grab a copy!
Great list! Thank you!
Thank you for reading!

Another list I have saved.
I loved Maggie Smith’s book!
I want to dive into the Mental Health list!💜
Part of recovery is learning that you’re not alone!!
I love the idea that empathy helps us heal. ❤️

Saving this post to refer back to later!
I’ll have to look into that one. Thank you for the kind words and recommendation!
