I love the idea of horrorish, and recognize it as one of my favorite genres. Looking forward to trying the titles here that I haven't yet. A few I would nominate for this genre: Mexican Gothic (Silvia Moreno-Garcia), Weyward (Emilia Hart), The Crane Husband (Kelly Barnhill). I guess I like books with just a touch of supernatural + horrific humans.
I had so much suspenseful fun reading Night Film!
Me too! I love fun books.
My favorite genre! Love this list.
I just have to ask, if I were possessed by a demon would you perform an exorcism on me?😂🤣😂
I’m gonna have to outsource that one. I’ll wait in the car. 😂
Saving this to pick my next spooky read from 👻 Thanks for sharing!!
My pleasure!

Yes! Why is it so fun to read about terrible people? Thanks for the recommendations!
Love this list! I like to think of it as horror adjacent or like horror flavored sparkling water - the essence is there but not full flavored.
I love the water analogy!
Love this!! I started Bunny but hit pause to pick back up in November, hoping to squeeze some uniquely October thrills in while I can.
Yay for October reading! I love this month so much.
