What Caught My Eye Online #62
Welcome to this week’s roundup! Here’s what I’ve been loving:
My new automatic potato peeler. I hate peeling fruits and vegetables. I’ve tried different knives, peelers, and techniques, and I hated all of them. But now I’ve seen the light and have an automatic potato peeler. It’s incredible. I love it dearly. I have this one, but I’m sure you can get them elsewhere. Did I take a video of my peeler in action and show it to people as if it were a video of my (nonexistent) child playing Mozart? Yes, of course. No regrets.
Getting back in a reading groove. Thanks to the general chaos of the world these days, I’ve found it hard to focus on reading. I’ve been turning to mysteries and thrillers which have helped me get back into the groove. I’m reading a total pageturner now that I’m excited to talk about later!
And now for this week’s links.

I don’t like traveling much, but I do enjoy watching the occasional bit of travel content. This is a fun video featuring all kinds of different Malaysian street food.
Speaking of food, my new potato peeler and I collaborated to make this delicious five-ingredient potato and corn chowder from The Modern Proper, one of my favorite recipe sources. The soup is rich and creamy, even though it has no milk. The recipe calls for onions, which I hate, so I added garlic instead. The final product was the best potato soup I’ve ever made.
